Out Of Town Patients

We serve many visitors outside the state of Florida. Our surgeon’s advanced techniques and excellent results draw patients from all over the nation, and internationally. This is an exclusive experience that allows us to offer our services to out-of-towners so that they have a smooth and comfortable stay while here in South Florida. The type of procedure you pick will determine how long your recovery will last.

Some patients may be able to fly home on the next day while others will be required to stay for seven days or longer based on the surgeon’s recommendation.

Traveling for surgery

All our procedures are outpatient, meaning you can go to your hotel soon after the anesthesia has worn off, and all post-operative evaluations have been performed. We advise our out-of-town patients to have a companion with them for at least the first 24 hours of recovery to ensure all the post-operative protocols are followed.

South Florida enjoys fair weather all year round. If you are traveling to visit our renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Fisher, we want you to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We are located near some of the most popular hotels, restaurants, and hot spots in South Florida. In preparation for surgery, you will be placed on a strict diet, and advised to quit smoking and drinking. But you can still have a good time and go sightseeing, shopping, or any other healthy activity that won’t interfere with surgery and recovery.

Initial consultation

Get ready for your initial consultation. You will need to have the necessary medical lab work required to assess whether you are a good candidate for the procedure you want. Your medical history and treatment options will be discussed and a patient coordinator will contact you to discuss all fees for surgery, related expenses, as well as financing options available. You will know by then the length of your stay in South Florida. Once you have decided that you wish to undergo surgery at Unique, the scheduling process will begin based on available dates.

Recovery

Fly-in patients must plan to stay in South Florida for at least three days or more, depending on the surgery performed. The length of stay can be adjusted; however, it’s crucial patients take enough time to ensure a safe and comfortable recovery. Your health and safety is always our priority. Your post-op visits will be concentrated into the necessary length-of-stay.
