Breast reduction surgery, also known as mammoplasty, will help reduce the size of large breasts when they cause physical discomfort. Excess skin, fat, and tissue is removed to create a breast size in proportion to the rest of the body. Some patients may be experiencing back problems and other health problems from their large breasts, which can be corrected with this procedure. Recovery can last 1 to 4 weeks, and the final results should be noticed in approximately three months after surgery. This procedure will cost an average of $5,400 at our Center and may be covered by your insurance when performed for medical reasons.
A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that raises the breasts to a much higher position by removing extra skin and resizing the areola with incision techniques such as the crescent, peri-areolar, vertical, and anchor. The best candidates for a breast lift are healthy patients who may feel uncomfortable with the size of their breasts. Following surgery, patients are advised to wear a compression garment and sports bra to help minimize swelling and preserve the newly created shape. They should also refrain from any strenuous activities for two to three weeks. Patients are also advised to void any sudden movements of the arms. Most patients go back to work in just a few days and resume regular activities in two weeks. The average cost is about $4,500.
Gynecomastia surgery, also known as male breast reduction, helps reduce the appearance of excessively large breasts in men to create symmetry and a more masculine chest contour. During surgery, excess skin is removed, and the areola is repositioned and as well as its size improved. Liposuction and other surgical techniques are used around the nipple to remove surplus skin and breast tissue. The ideal candidates for this procedure are healthy patients who may feel uncomfortable with the size of their breasts. Drains and bandages are applied after surgery as well as compression garments. It’s possible to experience a temporary loss of sensation. You may go back to work in only a few days and go back to your routine in two weeks. Male breast reduction can cost an average of $3,500.
